Stopped at the Resort at Peaks of Otter while on the parkway the other day. This path goes around the lake.

Another from Sunday afternoon. The sky was (for the most part) partly cloudy and it depended on where you where as to what kind of sky you saw. In this photo it was mostly clear, but others were totally different. It was nice to get shots with and without clouds in the same trip.

I was finally able to get out yesterday and take fall photos. I've been doing the baby thing obviously for the past few weeks. I think I missed the best weekend for colors, but everything was still very beautiful.

I posted this a while back, but decided to rework it a little. I tried to give it a Dave Hill type effect. The look is not liked by everyone and can be overused, but I like it.

I've been wanting to try this for a while. I used some photos I shot of Center Hill a few months back. I'm happy with the results considering this is the first time I've done this.

More smoke photography. I did this one with a gel on the flash. No coloring in post. Fuego is spanish for Fire, incase you didn't know. I thought these three shots fit together well. I have another composite I will post later. (click image to enlarge)

I tried some smoke photography tonight. I haven't done this before, but ran across a video on youtube and thought I would give it a try. (Video Link) I managed to get a few shots I liked. I'm not completely satisfied with the processing, but I think it will get better the more I work with it.
